I think this is a pretty good deal............

You'll find this grill will cost you $599.00 locally.........

amazon

$499.00 at Amazon with free shipping......no tax for CA.........actually showed up for $494.99 in my cart.......

This grill gets good reviews for it's very even heat distribution and the weber grills have a unique flavor bar system.....

I wish I could afford one right now .........it's tempting as I figure I'd be saving $150.00 or so.

These are great grills. I have been waiting quite a while for a good deal on these and I think this is the year for it. The new models have a lower retail price. You can get the Gold B (without sideburner - I never use anyway) for $549 with free shipping HERE. I would love to have a 10% off coupon to combine with the 5% off from wingspan visa.

Wo0w, considering shipping is normally $85, that alone would be a deal...take another $100 off and you're cookin' with gas!

I have alway seen these grills for this price. Home Depot always has them priced at $499. The free shipping is great though.

Free shipping is gone and I finally got a 10% off! Oh well. Anybody know when they might offer the free shipping again on these?

For those that don't want a Weber, Top Grill makes some excellent ones. If you buy 90 days in advance of when you need it, they'll give you a 10% discount and a free cover.

FYI: If you purchase your Weber at Home Depot they come with cast iron cooking grates, this is normally a $30-$50 upgrade....

I finally got one!!! I got the Gold B series from Amazon! It is free shipping again ($85). I went to Fwallet for sale forum and bought a 10% off coupon for $5 and bought it for $494.99 with free shipping. I used the wingspan cc to get additional 5% off to make the total $470.24 with free shipping and no tax!!! You can't get any better than that. SWEET!!!!

Weber - whatever! I just forced my beloved Weber into permanent retirement a few weeks ago after having stumbled upon a Member's Mark grill at Sam's. $599 effectively netted me $500 more grill than Weber is offering. Go here for one of many sites dedicated to this awesome piece of equipment (complete with specs and pics):

http://www.komar.org/bbq/

If you want to find countless sites (especially look for gardenweb.com's discussion group) dedicated to this grill that Grand Hall manufactures, using google.com look up "Member's Mark."

The Member's Mark looks like a nice grill.I do note that he said it did not go over 400 degrees with the temp 50.My Weber Gold C
gets to 550+ at 50 degree outside temp. Also, after doing a search on this grill,I notice it has recieved complaints on its uneven cooking!
Also, good luck on replacement parts.I am sure I can get parts for my Weber for the next 25 years,I could not count on 5 years with the little known brand!I might still take a chance if I could see one that is 5+ years old.My last grill was a $1500 pro model.Great looking, very well made, but replacement parts were very costly and hard to get!

jeepers94: How long have you had the Weber Gold and how is it? I am fired up to get it. Also, did you get a cover for it and how much did you pay? Thanks,

My Weber gas grill is 10 years old and still looks new. The Gas bottle is starting to rust a bit, but the rest of the grill is fantastic. The great thing about gas grills is the ability to cook any time in just about any weather (yup, rain too).

I sold my old Weber kettle grill to a buddy of mine who still uses it and it's about 20 years old. These things are great, too.

jeepers94, you're right about Weber's history, quality, etc. I was aware of a few minor quirks with the Member's Mark (they were sold for a few years under the name Bakers and Chefs) before my purchase.

Nonetheless, I realized after my original posting that I kind of crapped on this thread. Just to illustrate that I wasn't seeking to disrespect any of the Weber lovers out there, I think I might have a few tips that I learned in another anandtech.com Hot Deals posting. You can either go to your local post office and pick up their moving packet and check out the Lowes 10% coupon in it or go directly to the site they'll tell you to go to in the post office packet:

http://www.lowes.com/lkn?action=pg&p=MoveIt&topic=howToLibrary

You do the math concerning the low-price battle you could get Home Depot and Lowes into since both have low-price guarantees.

If you're undecided about which grill to buy, although it's a little bit dated, get your hands on the June 2001 issue of Consumer Reports for their rating of gas grills. Of course, you can save a tree by becoming a member of their site.

The only problem is that Lowe's doesn't sell the gold series and at least my Home Depot doesn't either. The amazon way seem the way to go. You will save $40 to $50 on tax and if you can get a 10% code then you will save another $40 up depending what grill you order. The weber site says that this years model only takes 10 minutes to assemble. I don't think you can get a better deal (at least on the Gold B).

Wow.....I was surprised to see this thread pop up again............

After doing some research..........including the Members Mark...........I bought a Weber silver B deluxe.............I like the fact that the burners run side to side and the grill is almost as deep as it is wide......it heats very evenly and had no problem with flare ups on the rack of ribs I cooked yesterday.......It's a natural gas version....

The silver B deluxe is just like a silver B except you get stainless steel grills and flavorizer bars, a almost metal flake type of paint color, and a pop up work table on both the right and left sides (like on the C series but the overall lenght is not as long which I liked).......

The silver b deluxe is not mentioned on Weber's site and only select dealers are allowed to carry them but if you call Weber they can tell you where you can buy them..........I paid $499.99 for it.......I just like it because it takes up less room than a silver C and you still get 2 pop up work tables....

I thought those Amazon 10% off coupons say that they can't be used for grills. That's why I hoofed it over to Lowes and used my 10% coupon that I got from this board and bought the Silver B for $428.35 out the door. I would have rather had the Gold B but Lowes doesn't carry the Gold series.

I got the Silver B yesterday too. But I used the Lowes 10% coupon at Home depot, because I liked the cast iron grates better.

Does anyone know how easy or hard to convert it from LP to natural gas?
