<< Does anyone know how easy or hard to convert it from LP to natural gas? >>

Call Weber's toll free customer support number.......they can tell you........and give you a price.........

I think all you need to do is replace the manifold............It costs $100 to go from NG to LP..........it might be cheaper the other way...........Home Depot sells the NG version, can you take it back........?

At a local HW store here in Central NJ, they had a 2-day "Weber cookout" with factory reps, food samples cooked on a Weber grill, etc. They also had special pricing that knocked $50 off the Weber Silver and Gold lines. I went to the local Home Depot (about 1 mile away), PM'd to the local HW store's price (the local store had an advertisement in a local paper), and also got another 10% off. Walked out with a Silver C with cast iron grates for $405+$24 tax= $429. I didn't get the free assembly (only took 15 minutes - only 8 screws), free propane fill ($8) or the free delivery, but no matter.

I was told at the local HW store that Weber sponsors these "cookouts" at select dealers around the country during the spring (YMMV). So this may be an opportunity to spot a great deal on these grills in the upcoming days/weeks.

Would have posted sooner, but my cable modem at home is down and had to wait until I got to work this morning to post.

Southercentralrain,I have only had it for about 1 week.I got the deluxe cover free. This store normally sells the covers at cost/with purchace of a grill. It would have been $55,if I had to pay for it. One more little thing. The owner of the store rode in the bed of my truck,
to secure it,when I took it home.He then helped carry it up to the second floor of my deck, and set it up. As for the Members Mark grill,I do like the looks of it,and I think it could be a very good buy also.Time will tell.

What's with the free assembly at HD? How do you get the grill home if it's already assembled? I just want somebody to deliver the box to my house (without added cost) because I don't think I can fit it in my trunk. I think I'm going to get the entry-level $349 Silver A because I'm single and don't need a massive grill (nor do I really have the room for one). But I'm confused with these 10% coupons and stainless steel bars here and cast iron bars there and Silver series here and Gold series there.

I think buying the silver A is just paying for the Weber nameplate, because it is only a 2 burners and has only 22000BTU, pretty weak. You will
have a hard time searing your steak with the lid open.

I currently cook with my parent's cheapo Sunbeam LP grill and I never leave the lid open for anything. I don't know how many BTU's it has, but if I leave the lid up, nothing would get cooked. Frankly, I didn't know you were supposed to cook with the lid open for steak. My steaks turn out fine so I guess there are other factors.

The B and C grills just seem so big: 69.5W x 33D vs 52W x 21D for the A. Nearly a yard deep for the B/C's!? Maybe that's how much room it needs with lid all the way open. I just have a fenced-in patio so I don't know where I'd put a grill that needs nearly 16 square feet of ground space...and since it is a heat source, you can't stick it up against the building or the fence.
