It's definitely changed and not for the better. It began as such a fun, campy, almost light-hearted show about a pot dealer. It was unique in that perspective. Now it's dark and violent and that's all been done to death.

Resurrecting an old thread because there doesn't seem to be one devoted to the new season.

So far I LOVE season 6. It's back to the campiness and humor of the first couple of seasons with some great cliffhanger endings.

I caught up from season 1 episode 1 via on demand before this season started... I miss the first couple seasons still, not feeling it.

Hoping Dexter gets better this year, last year I thought was a swing and miss, though I am in the minority there I think.

i just watched Monday's episode last night.

this show has turned to complete awful shit. i don't even know why i torture myself by watching it week in and week out, but it's mainly just because I'm already invested in it and just am going to finish it out. kind of like 24 was.

but this show has pretty much gotten worse than i ever thought 24 was. at least 24 was a parody of itself. this show has just gone a totally different direction and has nothing at all to do with what it started out.

the first 3 or so seasons of this show were great, then it gradually took a turn for the worse.

now it totally jumped off the deep end.

The show was great in the setting of Agrestic and Elizabeth Perkins was around. Once they lost the setting the show was built in, it's hard to go back.

I still watch it though. Nancy getting banged by Zack Morris was kinda funny.

I stopped watching when I saw the underground tunnel. the toe porn was the camel's back, and the tunnel was the straw.

Same here. They took a terrible detour and kept on making wrong turns trying to get back to where they were.

Yeah I agree. At this point it's more of an addiction than something I watch for the enjoyment. It's not a huge time investment, 30 minutes a week, so what's the harm? Right? With any luck, it'll get wrapped up by the end of this season.

Seems like every episode has Nancy looking more and more like a crack whore and getting just stupider and stupider. And they're resorting to all sorts of cheap crap to keep you interested.

That's where we quit watching. No interest in soap operas. It was funny when it was a suburban mom doing her thing and Kevin Nealon being a sarcastic pot-smoking prick.
