Weeds....what the hell happened to this show?

I miss the first two seasons when the chaos was relatively contained and the story was more about the entertaining characters themselves and NOT the crazy shit they got into.

It seems like the writers made a very bad decision with the plot and have failed to recover ever since. Now they are stuck in this endless battle to keep making the story crazier and crazier and crazier from episode to episode.

Watching Shane hit Pilar with a croquet mallet pretty much sealed the deal in my mind. This show has officially jumped the shark. The writers don't even know wtf they are doing anymore. Such a shame, so many great characters in this series (nancy, doug, andy, etc.).

Agree, show has gone downhill. Ever since Shane started going crazy the show has been getting crappy. The Mexican druglord husband's daughter is super hot.

The one good episode this season was the one where Andy suckled Nancy.

The show never hooked me after a few episodes. I guess I didn't like the premise of it all.

Seeing the show go to shit opens up a new show for fame or failure, which is a good thing.

bleh, this whole season has been a product placement and pop culture reference cesspool. the season where she burned down the house was where the show jumped the shark, now it's just getting big headed and ridiculous.

The show was finished when they got rid of Conrad. He was one of the more likable characters. Every character now are assholes one way or another. It's sad when Silas becomes the most tolerable one.

Agreed. Midway through the following season is when I stopped watching. At that point she was pretty much just a full on drug dealer. It was more interesting when she was a suburban mom just trying to maintain her quality of life by selling weed.

Just writer burnout, Beginning, middle, end, makes a good series: stretching it out makes shit.

i dunno after watching that last eps it was about as wacky as it ever was. it was never going to be the first season again where it was simply drug dealing out of suburbia. plus it was always a heightened reality.

IMO the show has become almost unwatchable. Between this and Entourage I am on the verge of canceling my pay channels (but I can't because Dexter and Curb Your Enthusiasm are almost back!).

I thought the first season was great. Really fun idea for a show, but lost that 'charm' pretty quick.
