Thanks to GLeeM we have a new project in the weekly stats, TN-Grid, genetic research from Italy. The tasks can be hard to come by, as the demand is greater than the supply, but the points awarded are large.

I will try to remember to include a project highlight each week, for a while. I hope that the comments will include any additional pertinent information about the current week's project.

This weeks highlighted project is TN-Grid.This might be a 'wrapper' project, while not really doing any research themselves, they take in other smaller research projects and give them a common name. WCG works this way too.

Although the project is not "new" it does have less than 1000 users, and less than 300 of them are active.​

My limited experience is that current tasks scale very well with clock speed, and take 20-40 minutes each depending on the speed of your machine. Current application is Gene Network Application v0.11. Tasks can use extensions such as AVX, SSE2, FMA, and earn an approximate average of 180 points each.​

So as you can see, on a 3.7GHz+ i7, running 8 threads, each thread completing 3 tasks an hour, you'd earn 103,680 points per day. IF you can get enough tasks.

Do to the limited tasks issue, my personal usage scenario is that I have allowed all machines to run the project, as a side project to my primary project of choice.​

It's not often said, but please do suggest any project you would like to see tracked here, and I'll be glad to add it to the stats.

You may have noticed that my production is nearly non-existent, thats because in Australia its, summer, and we have broken a temperature record, of 46.9C/116F, and unfortunately, my machines do not like those ambient temps.
