WEGA 36" $637 @ Sam's Club

First post guys.
Picked up floor model Sony model 36FS12 (36" WEGA, single tuner) at Sam's Club for $637. Wouldn't have posted but another Sam's in my area also had one for the same price so there may be others out there. Looks like end of cycle for this model. Add three more years to the warranty for $59. No box. Be careful not to pop a hernia moving this bad boy (240 lbs).

No box? How did you take it back home? Did you ask for delivery? If so, how much you paid for the delivery? This monster weighs more than 250lbs. I wonder how you took it back home?!

Damn, I paid a good bit more for my 36", oh well, it was worth it.

Great TV, WELL worth it at that price

edit: Ya, this thing is HEAVY as hell, especially when you have to carry it up a flight of stairs, I couldn't move my hand for like 15 minutes. It is big too

The guys there helped me put in my Jimmy. It cleared the roof by about quarter inch. Another buddy helped me roll it through the house using a dolly. Two people can actually pick it up using indentations molded into the back but I wouldn't recommend it for any distance. I still would have had to take it out of the box to get it in the Jimmy or the house.

I have this tv; while it doesn't have the best composite picture, it's an awesome tv for the price. DVD (especially in anamorphic mode) performance is stellar. Great price, too..

good deal even if it's the floor model. who needs the box? good idea on the extend warranty.

Yeah, good deal. But that is a floor model meaning it's been running all day every day for a long long time. Of couse, in 3 years when the warranty runs out it'll be time (and affordable) to get the HDTV.
