In early April I changed my diet all around in order to lose weight (5'10", 220). I started with the slow-carb diet, but I'm really not a bean fan, so I made some modifications. Now my daily diet looks like this:
Breakfast: 2 eggs, 2 turkey sausage patties (or morningstar veggie sausage)
Lunch: 6-8oz Pork loin, 1 serving corn, 1 serving peas
Snack: Fruit smoothie (2oz blueberries, strawberries, peaches, banana, grape juice, 2% milk, 1/2 scoop of whey)
Dinner: 5-8oz Chicken breast, 3.5 servings of green beans.
Snack (depending on calorie count, one of the following): Jello, 1 serving of PB w/ 1/2 serving of dark chocolate, or a protein shake.
So my daily intake looks like this:
Calories - 1,718
Fat - 73
Carbs - 111
Protein - 154
Fiber - 26
Then I have a cheat day on Saturday. I also drink a few diet dr peppers everyday.
Doing this, I've lost 20lbs between April and July. But I've plateaued. All of July I've stayed 200. My goal is somewhere around 170-180.
I don't exercise much (office desk job). I've started doing pushups semi-regularly. I'm also studying for my PE exam right now, so that's a little time consuming.
So what can I do to break the plateau?
