Nah I don't want to get chalk all over me.Originally posted by: theLION
ever considered using chalk instead? i prefer chalk instead of gloves. and yes, a man's hands are supposed to have calluses.

i have gloves, but dont use them much. i have a harbinger one as well and a lighter one from nike cuz i kept losing the harbingers.
but as mentioned, gloves wont help you develop your grip. and developing your grip actually bulks up your forearms as an added benefit. Actual bulking of your forearms would require actual forearm exercises otherwise...
I wash my hands when I get back from the gym, first thing. Also refrain from touching hands to mouth in the gym.Originally posted by: Red Dawn
They also work as a barrier between my hand and the equipment that has others germs on them (probably not all the effective)
Yeah when they are hard and callused from earning an honest living. Hell I use gloves and I still have calusses, just not as bad if I didn't use gloves. Maybe I get them because I have such a strong grip or maybe because my hands sweat so much. I sure don't want to have to use chalk, it's such a fucking mess.Originally posted by: jiggahertz
I used Harbingers for a couple years when I first started lifting. I stopped due to the grip strength issue as others have mentioned. Nothing wrong with callused hands.
