Yesterday my PC has started to instantly power off when going into 3d games / playing some movies. After it has powered of, after about 5 seconds it will power on. It has not BSOD'ed, but instantly powered off.
My gut says it's either the PSU or the GFX card. I've checked fans on both to make sure they are not obstructed, etc.. and they are all fine. Nothing seems to be getting too hot (everything running about 50C).
Spec of system is: Intel Quad core Q6600, 8GB RAM, Geforce GTX 260, Zalman 600W PSU, 5 HD's, DVD.
The only thing which I think may be a little off is that CPUID Hardware Monitor says my +12V rail is running at 12.7-12.8, which if I understand PSU's correctly is too high? I've used a multimeter on the 12v rail to try to get a more accurate reading and that seems to show it to be 12.5-12.7, but mostly 12.5.
I don't particularly want to go out and buy a new PSU if thats not really the problem. Can anyone confirm if this looks dodgy?
