Weird problem with new system

Ok I built me a new 2500+/NF7-S/420watt PSU system. Well my case comes with 6 total LED fans(2 in PSU,2 in back,1 on window,1 in front). The weird thing is I shutdown the system to hookup a SVC cold cathode and turn it back on. Well I flip the switch to turn the light on to figure out where to mount it(while the system is running).

Well heres the problem. All of a sudden my system shuts down but the red/green light stays on, on my mobo and my power and HDD led stays on, on my case like my computer is still on but it isn't. I mean everything powered down other than the info lights. What could have caused this? It came back on no problem after cutting the power to it. Could it have been the light or something? The light was on for a few minutes before my system shutdown.

Anyway was curious if its safe to turn the lights on while the system is running and if 6 LED fans is to much with 2 cold cathodes? Also would it be safe to mount to on/off switches and 2 power converter going to each light? Cables are to short to run to one converter.

I'm new to this so whats the do's and don'ts?

stick with the psu it came with. my light kit came with an on off

Looks perfect since it looks like it has a on/off switch/bracket. But you all know more about this stuff than me I just know how to build a system. Would green look good or should I get another color? Also would that one above be enough to light the whole case.

no way dude those thermal take cold cathode lights are bull crap they dont work as the color you pay for if your looking to get red and plus they dont show true color most of them have kinda faded colors or not true.

So they are crap? Anyone else deal with them? I don't care about brand but I like the control bracket. What other brands have that and thats decent?

SVC has a Sunbeam dual-cold cathode light kit (complete kit) on sale for $5.75. (on the home page, dead center.) SVC is very reliable; I'm a repeat customer. They also have some of the best prices anywhere on case-mod stuff like this.

Looks like all the single colors are out of stock. I was thinking green and maybe blue/red. Also I wouldnt really want to have to drill holes in a new $100 case to mount the on/off switch.

Sold out? Wow, they must've really sold like hotcakes! I bought mine only 24 hours ago. I got two kits; one blue, one red.

Dont' worry about mounting the On/Off switch. It should fit on a PCI slot cover, which is what I plan on doing. If not, you'll notice that the switch uses standard female quick-disconnects. Pretty much any small SPST switch out there will just "bolt right in" w/o a problem. One of the reasons I bought this kit.
