I bought a generic Gamers Factory USB game controller from best buy...brought it home and plugged it in on my Athlon 1800+ @1650 mhz, with an MSI NForce 2 motherboard (not sure of exact model I forget now).
Anyways, it pops up and installs it as an unknown usb device and will not work...after looking for drivers for this (there are none) I unplugged it and plugged it into my other PC which has an old AK31 3.1, and it popped up and installed as a USB Human interface device, and it works fine.
I went onto Nvidia.com, downloaded their newest NForce 2 drivers and the Nvidia System Utility, and that doesn't help either. I even tried going into the bios, setting it for USB1.1, USB 2.0, and USB 1.1 and 2.0 compatibility, and it still won't work. Both OS's are Windows XP with all the current updates and what not.
Does anyone have any idea why this works on my one computer, but absolutely will not work on the other? This is sort of aggravating! Thanks!
