I've got this weird-ass problem that's driving me nuts.
My client's home has a laptop and a PC, both connected to a broadband connection via wireless, which has a wifi AP.
The laptop is fine, but the PC has a slow download speed. Going to the speedtest website will consistently yield a 1-1.5mbps download, while getting 8-9mbps upload speeds.
These are the stuff that I've tried
1) using the usb wireless adapter on the laptop, getting 9mbps download
2) resetting the AP
3) I've made an image backup of the PC a few years back, so I reloaded the image, same results. So I can eliminate the virus factor.
4) I tried turning on my hotspot from my mobile phone, and then have the PC connect to my phone. Download speed was about 5-6mbps.
5) changing the wireless channels didn't work as well
So, if it's not the PC, usb wireless adapter, the AP, then what the hell is wrong??
Would appreciate any feedback.
Thank you!

I read somewhere that disabling WMM on some routers will fix this, but I don't see any WMM or QoS stuff on the router, possibly because it's in AP mode and all that is turned off?
