Ok first of all i have Win XP Pro.
2nd it was working fine before I left for winter break Dec. 15.
It hadn't been connected to a power source of any kind until I pluged it in yesterday.
It hasn't been touched all winter break, nobody was in the darom, the room was locked, and I had locked my case before I left.
ok it booted up fine into the XP log-on screen, I've got 2 admin accounts setup for me and my room mate, B and C respectively.
When I logged onto B it loaded fine but then after about 30secs of using IE it lockedup so I restarted. loggged back on as B and then after about 40 secs of just letting it sit it locked up again, so i just unplugged it and left. Well my roommate mate went back last night and he tried B again and it fricked up so he restarted and tried C. C works perfectly, its just B thats messed up. Is there anything I can do to fix this? If you need info about my hardware just look in my sig, if you need anything else just ask.
I'll tell you something else weird too. I had installed Half-Life under Win2000 on my other hard-drive before getting XP. So naturally I thought I could just make a short-cut to it and it would work perfectly. It did but only in B, when I tried it in C it either wouldn't work most of the time or when it did my room mate would get an overflow error in Counter-Stike and Day of Defeat. XP is quirky, ain't
