Tanks for the welcome, I am now at about 2.250 G-cEMs (whatever this is! ) and #201 overall. I will try to be at the top 100 after 1 month thogh to achieve this I will have to add more CPUs, my celeron is not enough. Is there any way to transfer blocks/ buffers using floppy disks? What do I have to copy? Can I install the client ina computer without internet connection? How often do I have to renew the buffers?

Sorry if I am asking too many questions but I hink that I am not the only one that doesn't know that much about SOB.

Got an email back from Louis

"It can be done but it is cumbersome at best. Perhaps in the future I will make the work units easier to transfer. If your teammates aren't using windows, it is easy to copy work. Then turn off the "Transmit" option in the .conf file so it won't try to contact the server until the test is complete. They can further set the retry time to 1 second and the retry number to 1 so that it will not try network calls for long.

In windows, you would have to copy the reg keys from the networked computer to the non-networked one. This has been done by users by exporting the keys to .reg files and then just double clicking them to merge them on the other computer. After the non-network computer finishes, copy the zXXXXXXX file back, start the client and in almost no time the block will refinish and transmit. Let me know if that helps."

Let me know if that helps, and i'll get back to Louis
