haha one of the local stations was interviewing a guy from the Oak Cliff Chamber of Commerce ( at least thats what i think it was ) and he put up some hilariously fake responses - "oak cliff is the best place in dallas right now! ... that shirt does not represent us..."

I've worked in Oak Cliff for nearly 10 years, I love this shirt.

The "jail orange' is perfect too.

Gotta love the denial Dallas has going about the high crime rate in Oak Cliff.

I work evenings sometimes and step out of the ER for a breather & listen to small arms fire, punctuated occasionally by rifle & shotgun blasts.

Want to meet a 70 year old great grandpa on crack? Stop by my workplace & I'll introduce you to a dozen on any given day.

We had 6 gunshot victims on Monday night...

The cops I know say Dallas has become a major drug distrobution hub since NAFTA, the city pretends it doesn't exist, the feds won't cough up any $ beause the city won't ask for it.

A day when there isn't a news story about a city official being investigated by the FBI for bribery is a rare day.

The city council just voted to not fire an official that's been driving someone else's 7 series BMW for nearly a year:|

Yep, it's a microcosm of Texas, but it's got the worst of the worst.

The saddest thing to me is the elderly folks who have homes in the area, the property values have plummetted, they can't afford to sell & purchase a comprable home somewhere safer, and they get robbed on a regular basis. One person I know has been cleaned out 3X so far.
