well all like reboots....well....., not really!!

Alright, heres the deal, i moved to a new house, and set up my computer, and now the thing likes to reboot. On its own. Anytime it feels like it. Usually it seems to center around heavy video loads, like playing GTA3, SOF2, stuff like that. The odd thing is that it is so random it is hard to tell if it is the Video card or not. I have tried to replace just about everything i can with different parts, not to mention just stripping the system down so it is your basic barebones..no sound, modem, NIC card. Formatted the hard drive, got rid of XP. Still i had the problem the other day, listening to some MP3's. So now i know it is not the video card., at least i dont think so. What do you guys think? Any suggestions? The specs are: ASUS A7M motherboard, AMD XP 1600+, 32mb TNT2 M64, 40G HD, 256 DDR, and all the obvious. Thanks

Kind of smells like power supply problem. I don't know what would be different but I have seen it before. :disgust:

I brought my dads computer home to install xp on it a while back. I had to shut the machine down when I got there and when I got home 5 minutes later I had no video. I had to replace the card.

Thanks for the reply bro, i have actually already tried that. I have a 350 in there right now, i replaced it with a 250, still did the same thing. I am stumped.

Could it be dying motherboard? I had the same thing happen to my Shuttle before it went dead a month later.
