because this card will do the job and you wont be able to see a difference until next year anyhow... and the first lvl of next gen cards are always followed by upgrades, so ill get the next gen card when it matters in 6 months

I told him that in his last thread when he asked for opinions. The 7800 is coming out in like 2 weeks and it should give at least 50% more performance for the same price he just spent on that ATI X850XT...

my computer died and ive been using my friends, i cant wait 2 more weeks, already waited 2 and hes not happy... i dont think youll notice the 50% more performance anytime soon, and 512megs doesnt even matter unless youre running at rez higher than 1600x1200 at this point

Not everyone likes to wait for everything.
He can always sell his X850XTPE for great coin & purchase the X950XT PE or 7800 when they come out

Great system, but you really should have waited at least for the 7800 which comes out next Wednesday. If you can't return your card, it's still cool, you will have excellent performance either way.

All signs point to that, with Leadtek, Gigabyte, and XfX having cards ready to ship. Of course, the sites could all be wrong, but I doubt it, and would at least have waited to find out for sure.
