I know the hood doesn't sit flush, it needs to be adjusted.

I'll probably get it painted to match the car but not for a while since the car needs to be repainted also. I was thinking about changing the color of the car but I would want to do it right and I dunno if I want to go to the trouble of taking out the engine and everything...

It is extremely easy to take on and off. When I picked it up only took about 2mins to put it on and I drove off. And no, lol, it won't fit in the trunk. It is all one piece. It won't fit in any car's trunk, it's way too big.

Wow that sucks, better be sure that it won't rain if you go for a long drive or somewhere far off.

that looks way better than most miatas I have seen, but yeah I would paint it. You don't necessarily have to match it but red/silver isn't doin it for me. I think your miata looks almost like a viper and as sucj would look great in black or yellow. My pick would be yellow.

Huh? I still have the vinyl top. It's just retracted. Look in the last pic.

Uh.... On my Miata, you can put on the hard top on over the soft top. If you wanted, you could take the hard top off, and still have the soft top on underneath. Taking the soft top off is a pain in the ass though.

Before I crashed it, I had a yellow Miata with black stripes. I thought the car looked really nice, especially when I put my summer wheels and tires on the car. Many people thought I just 'riced' out the car, and were really suprised when I left them in the dust!

Now I have a black Miata with silver stripes. It still looks pretty good, but I miss the sunburst yellow color.

The body kit is made by Wings West, but I can't remember who made the spoiler.

lol miatas can be quite fast due to their low weight.

Nice car though, I may be getting a convertible again. I'm looking at MR2s again and Miatas and maybe an old (1997) Boxster.

MR2's, MR2 Spyder, 350z, Eclipses, just the usual ricer-boy type cars. Nothing really fast like Corvettes or anything, but my car is significantly faster than stock. Also, in this case racing = local drag strip.

Mopeds, lol, you're a funny guy. I've put quite a lot of money into my Miata's over the past few years. The current one I have runs the 1/4 mile in the upper 12 second range, and has a 0-60 of around 4.9 seconds. It's not the fastest car there is, but for the money I bought it for an put into the car it's was a great value.

Because hard tops for the miata are rare and extremely expensive. I paid only $1025 for mine and it's from a 2001, in great shape and was within driving distance.

Here is a red one from california. It's from a 1991 which means it's over 15 years old and they are asking $1300 for it + shipping. Shipping from california could easily be over $500.
Also the hard tops from the older miatas did not have the rear window defogger or an insulated head liner. Most of the old hard tops are faded and would need to be repainted anyway! Not only that but stuff like the seals go bad so they would leak water in and the clamps that hold it down also go bad and would need to be replaced (they are $100 each and there are 4 of them).

I have been looking for over a year now and haven't been able to find anything local that was in good shape, was red, wasn't faded, and/or within a reasonable price. The hard top I bought is basically in new condition and even factoring in the price of getting it painted is still a good deal. Plus I don't have to get it repainted.
