I've got to say, I was surprised she did as well as she did. I think Biden definitely won that debate but she didn't come off like a complete imbecile. She did her homework.

Still doesn't change my mind and I still won't be voting for McCain/Palin in November.

There is a threadregarding the debate. This should have been placed there.

I disagree with you as always, I was just telling my wife how she can't pronounce nuclear.

Nuclear is a very commonly mispronounced word in America,.. like asterisk and various others. It does not diminish one's intelligence though. For instance, stuttering can make one look uneducated, but often those with high intelligence suffer from stuttering.

I think people that pick on these minor things are the ones showing less intelligence. Too bad some of you vote on these things.

probably because stuttering can sometimes be because of an inferiority complex, as does an overabundance of intelligence

"Nucular weaponry".

You're right, now that I look at it, its a mark of pure genius. She's definitely ready to take on Putin now.

She went to the Bush school of pronunciation.

She went to the Bush school of pronunciation.

And she works hard to "put food on her family", and constantly asks herself, "is our children learning?"

You know what? I'd buy all that if the last simple jackass to sputter "nukular" and "strategery" didn't break the world.

She pronounces it exactly the same as GWB. I guess they've been seeing each other.

if nucular is good enough for Clinton, I'm not going to roast anyone else over the coals for it.

Too bad, idiots have the vote, huh? Personally, I think that people who are supposedly educated (VP candidates), should pronounce common words correctly. Now the word nuclear is an interesting example. It represents a very important arena of public policy and understanding it requires a great deal of in depth study. Mispronouncing the word says one thing to me: the person saying "nuclear" as "nucular" doesn't have in depth knowledge about it.
