Learned something new at PT.

Left arm, hammer curls, causes pain in the same place that I had on the right before the major issue. Granted this is very minor and I would have ignored it on any other day.

Had my PT go through how the muscles work. Looks like the "regular" ez curl bar puts more stress on the brachialis muscle/tendon than the bicep tendon. The brachialis was part of my tear.

40 years later....straight bar curls (or cables) it will be from now on.

small update. farming has started and I have spent some time in the field laying mulch (plastic) beds last week. handling drip tape and rolls of plastic that weight 60-75 lbs left my arm pretty darn sore for more than a couple days. the arm has been feeling pretty good the last month or so and was hoping for the best. maybe I will need to be on "modified work duty" again this yr maybe I need to find a new career

Update? Anything you can suggest about the scar tissue around the tendon? It's bound up pretty good. The whole process has been pain free for me otherwise.

not much to update. still chugging along. work has been all consuming along with trying to build a new garage. still working out, but not like I was prior to the injury.

I never had much issue with the scar tissue. My PT wanted me to do scar massage multiple times daily. surgeon thought it was a waste of time. If you are having issues, I would suggest looking into that.

The scar tissue has "softened" to what was normal. And I'll be going in sometime this month for the left. MRI shows it's torn too with scar tissue holding it in place. Hopefully it will be as easy as the right was.
