Update: They had their first "date" last night which included a movie with them and their friends - about 10 of them in all. They went and saw Iron Man 3.
The basically had no free time before or after the movie.
My introduction to the boy was me driving by slowly, staring at him, as stern a face as I could muster, as he waited outside the movie theatre. He saw us. I circled around and slowly pulled up to the curb, again staring at him. He walked up to the truck, me staring at him menacingly the whole time, introduced himself and put his hand out to shake mine. We shook.
My wife - knock it off, stop staring at him.
Me - So, you're Johnathon?
Him - Yes, sir.
Me - Where's the rest of the group
My daughter - they're inside waiting
Me - Yeah, right!
My daughter - daaaaaad, stop it
Me - Well, you two, have fun...watching...the....movie
Him - Yes, sir.
Me - We'll be back at 9:10
Them - Bye
I did all I could from busting out laughing, and I could tell that Johnathon was mixed between nervousness and amusement, but he looked like a nice enough kid and did well with the introduction.
After dropping them off, my wife and I went to Red Lobster. Daughter texts:
Her - Movie ends about 9:10 to 9:15
Me - We already know
Her - How?
Me - The ticket taker
Her - What?
Me - Look behind you.
Wife - Stop that....
In anycase, they did hold hands...after he asked her if he could.
Hmmmm...reminds me of a certain ATOT thread awhile back.
