i was cleaning my toilet and must've gotten a drop of the cleaning fluid on the stone tile floor without noticing.

i come back in an hour and it burned a half-inch-wide, quarter-inch-deep hole into the floor

never seen anything like that happen before. i've heard of it messing up a finish but not boring through the floor.

i wonder if it was because i had also used some floor cleaner around the same time.

no kidding, i clean like once a month and couple probably go 2 or 3 without a problem

At least you have another month to go (maybe 2-3) before making the same mistake again.

nah it was just comet toilet bowl cleaner and clorox floor wipes

honestly had no idea that anything like that could happen on a stone tile floor, i'm still shocked

I never use "toilet bowl cleaner". All the cleaning that is done is from the scrubbing. Just use whatever household cleaner you normally use. Dump a couple of ounces into the water, scrub, flush.
