my impression was that she was never able to make her case as a candidate for anything other than abortion/contraception.

so while a vote against her might not necessarily have translate into a vote against abortion, it's hard to say that her inability to talk about anything else didn't have a huge impact on her loss.

I don't think I saw a single ad from her where she's was telling people where she would take Texas without attacking Abbott. She went on the attack early and did it often. I have to think with a 20 point deficit in the vote shows that she lost many moderate/independent votes from being so divisive.

I had to agree. She basically had only attack adds berating abbot for pulling school funding and praising herself about what she did for abortion rights.

I laud her for her filibuster attempt to try to stop the law that changes how abortion clinics operated, which closed down many of them that couldn't comply, as I didn't think that law was needed at all. But beyond that, I really did get a warm fuzzy from her getting the governorship.

Who cares if a news anchor woman is trying to use plastic surgery, fake hair, and fake boobs to be on TV regardless of the news channel? I really don't care about it in regards to a governor either, but when it comes with a fake story about her past... I tend to dig a little deeper when that person can make changes that can impact my daily life unlike a news anchor.
