The other park worth a visit in Ohio is King's Island. There, they have two outstanding wooden rollercoasters: The Beast (longest wooden coaster in the world; outstanding ride; I'm sure there are some videos of it online). The other is Son of Beast - the only looping wooden rollercoaster in the world.
And, as far as the best ride? Of the many many many rollercoasters I've been on, I'm quite convinced that X-Flight (at the former 6 Flags Cleveland, since other rollercoasters have the same name) is the best ride, especially the front seat. When you get into the car, you're facing backwards. You're strapped in at the waist and at the ankles, and of course, the shoulder harness. When the ride is about to start, the seat reclines backwards so that you're laying down. You go up the lift hill head first, face up, laying down. At the top of the lift hill as it starts its first drop, it does a barrel roll. The rest of the ride, you're going face first; it's almost exactly as if you're flying. Nothing is between you and the ground except what's holding you in; and in some of the 0-g drops, it's not even actively doing that.
On a typical roller coaster, a large percentage of people stick their hands over their heads going down hills & such. On X-Flight, the vast majority of people were hanging on for dear life. (Not me!) At the end of the ride, my wife was unable to release her grip. Her hands involuntarily were locked on.
