Were are print screen shots stored?

I tried hitting the Print Screen Button in a BIOS screen. Would this work and if so were does it store it in windows 2000?

In the bios, it won't work, in windows it does, you've just got to go to paste in like paint or something.

Well how is it Ive seen some people take screen shots of there BIOS settings? Special program?

Once you're in Windows, the "printscreen" image goes to the clipboard, of course.

If you want a great screen capture program, try TechSmith's SnagIt - a simple to use and effective program - ffor Windows only.

As far as printing the BIOS, I think that is mostly a thing of the past. I remember doing it, but that was in the good old days.

I'm not sure about the BIOS... I'm not even sure if you can run any programs in the BIOS. Perhaps they took a picture with a camera?

When you hit the PRINT SCREEN button in Windows, the image is stored in the clipboard.

Print screen does not work in BIOS, it only works in windows. And in windows it stores the screenshot in the clipboard. You can then load your fav graphics program and just click paste, and it will paste the screenshot.

dcdomain thats the only other thing I could think of was maybe the pics were taked with a camera. But I figured I would see the outside of the monitor with the pics and didnt see any part of the monitor so I though there might of been a way to do Print shots in BIOS settings and it saved them in windows somewere. What I was really trying to do was take shots of Ghost 2001 to help document for our Hardware Tech at work. By this you boot from a disk. But I was also hoping to get bios shots. Screenshots rule.
