Online at school in 1985. I remember my introduction - a message popped up on the screen of the console I was at, connected to a VAX11/780. It was someone from Rochester Institute of Technology (Or University of Rochester, one or the other.) 1986, I was on a Bell Labs computer using Unix, and that was heaven. Didn't have internet at home until about 1991. 14.4kbps modem. A few years later, when the new 33.6 kbps modems came out, it was like heaven, it was so fast. Then, the invention of mp3's. Anyone remember scour net (pre-napster?) You could download a SONG in about half an hour!
