Now that Amex BVG is gone I'm going to cancel my Blue and give Citi Click card a try.

amex blue is still a good card. That return protection rocks. It let's you return stuff 90 days after you buy it and you get your money back.

Best Value Guarantee
Limitations
Purchases must be made in the United States and charged in full on your American Express Card. A refund will not be paid if, on the date of your request, any amount on your Card Account is past due for one or more billing cycle(s) or your Card Account is cancelled. Refunds are limited to $1,000 annually per Card Account. Any items that are purchased from a store that already has an established lowest price guarantee program will not be covered under Best Value Guarantee. Store advertisements which reference a discount on all items does not qualify. For example: An advertisement stating "All store merchandise is 40% off" is not eligible for coverage on a per item basis. Rebate offers are not eligible. This program does not apply to any advertisements dated before your purchase or more than 60 days after your purchase.

Items not covered are: animals and living plants; one-of-a kind items (including antiques, artwork and furs); limited quantity items; items that the advertisement states can be purchased with cash only; demonstration items; going-out-of-business sales items; "discontinued" items; consumable or perishable items with limited life spans (such as, but not limited to perfume, light bulbs, non-rechargeable batteries); jewelry and precious stones; services and additional costs (such as installation charges, warranties, shipping, taxes, or car rentals); rare and precious coins; stamps; used; rebuilt and refurbished items; cellular phones; pagers; tickets of any kind; travelers cheques; motorized vehicles (such as cars, trucks, motorcycles, boats, airplanes, or riding lawn mowers) and their parts; land and buildings; negotiable instruments (such as promissory notes); cash and its equivalent.

man, it's hard getting anyone to talk about the drive...everybody in here seems very focused on the CC PM policies.

damn, I just got a "we are indefinitely out of stock, so now you get to dangle on a thread for the next 30 days waiting" email. Rebate says it must be postmarked within 14 days of purcase......I will keep a close eye on this situation!!

Just got my drive today! I was concerned that they may be pulling the same BS they pulled on me last time I ordered from them (i.e., sending the wrong drive, then sending the correct drive AFTER the rebate window...then....)..but all is well. Just need to file the AMEX BVG claim.

good luck

that's wierd, I've never had to fax my credit card statement. Maybe you gave them the wrong date that it appeared on your statement and when they tried to look it up, they couldn't find it and asked you to provide it? They usually look up my statement while I'm on the phone with them.

Also, it's always taken 8-10 days for my claims to be approved. Now that's service!

KidVicious - I have learned that "Outpost.com" is spelled I-N-C-O-M-P-E-T-E-N-T.
I had a similar problem when I ordered this drive a month or 2 ago, and they sent me the wrong drive..then when they fixed their error, the receipt they issued me fell outside of the rebate window..and they said they couldn't change that...

yet here I am, ordering again ;-) Well, I already received it, anyhow...

be careful with them

Deal is alive again at Fry's and Outpost, although, this week you have to pay $10 more at the register and get $10 more when the rebate shows up......I think I'm gonna bite this time....don't need or want 120GB of space (can you imagine how long that'll take to defrag?!?!!?), but with Amex BVG, which is alive and well on my Optima Platinum, I'll get the drive far cheaper than I can get any other.

I've got this drive and I've filled up 90GB on it. Defragging takes about 2-3 hours.

In case anyone is wondering, it's filled with movies, anime, and mp3.

Yo, let it run, Dre.......

Well, picked one up today, and I'll prolly keep it, since with BVG it'll be the cheapest HDD around
2-3 hrs to defrag....well, it's worth it...I guess

Anyway, thanks to all who contributed to the deal.
