So i had a bit of hardluck, my wd black 4tb would get detected in bios but not in windows, (it is not the not drive) and in bios too it would say error and ask me to press f1 to resume. Now while removing drives the edge got damaged.
Will wd honour warranty ?

Only one sure way to find out.......RMA it back to them.

However, based on what I have seen over many years, my guess would be "no", as they will likely void the warranty due to "physical damage".

I know it's just the plastic part that's damaged. Not the sata connector or power connector or the electrical parts and all.
What if we find a similar pcb with no damage. Will it go thru?

Once again, the only one way to find out is to try it. You should have much better odds than if you sent it in looking like it does in the picture.

Not WD, but I once RMA'd an SSD to Corsair with some odd physical damage that occurred to the plastic of the sata connections, but did not interfere with plugs mounting and securing. I took detailed phographs of the damage prior to sending it in.

They contacted me to deny warranty due to physical damage. I wrote a very explicit email back to them detailing the damage, how it occurred, and attached my own photographs. I pointed out the damage in no way interferes with the operation of the drive, as shown in the photos.

They responded by approving the warranty replacement.

If the drive is dead, you don't have much left to lose. Just be sure to document it with more photographs as evidence the damage does not affect the connectors.

Thanks. Will definitely give this a try.
