easier way:
Step by step process
1. Start with coupon link to enable discount
2. Shop and put items in cart
3. Go and open Ebates in a NEW browser
4. Click on the link at Ebates for the store you are shopping at
5. Click on my cart in the Ebates opened window
6. Complete the transaction

USING Ebates?
If you want to use Ebates and a coupon (which is what I do), the only way to combine both into one is if you order via Ebates first, complete your order and then call 1-800-283-7674 with your order number and give them the coupon over the phone. You can use not only coupons for phone only, but you can give them a link as well, they'll take both. I never had a problem using this approach, but YMMV.

Good question. The packaging looks like the 2 MB model. However, the warranty is listed as 3 years which could indicate the "SE" model.

About the warranty, the 2mb version at bestbuy.com offers a 3 year warranty. So, I doubt that has any relevance to the cache size.

I checked this out at my local office max. its the same one as the offered at Circuit City. I picked up that one and its a 2MB one and there's no 3 year warranty. only 1 year. I used this though to swap out my wd120 5400 to put that one in my replay tv.

must head back to circuit tommorow though to get pricematch.

One would think so, but that's OM's regular catalog price for a 2MB. And the 8MB is only suppose to be a $20 premium. So there's no guarantee that this is an 8MB.

hey you actually don't even need to pricematch to officemax. just have them pricematch to themselves. its now 179.99. my cousin went to get the pricematch and didn't even bother to tell me. till I called him. hehe. he took a print out from circuitcity.com with my store having it in stock.
