I rarely much care for (or thoroughly read) editor reviews. It's the user reviews I pour over carefully and of course they are usually plentiful at CNET and Amazon (and some other places). These are people who have often really done their homework and after getting the product have evaluated carefully and can speak from deep personal experience and compare the product to alternatives and hopefully explain themselves. And they've dug into their pockets....
