Imagine how I feel coming from 37 inch at home to a 15 inch LCD at work every single day.

What's more shocking, when I come home I dont particularly find 37 inch to be that BIG anymore. I got used to it very quickly. But when my friends come over they cannot belive I am using 37 inches as my computer monitor

Too bad to hear about the problems with legacy video modes not displaying properly over DVI, on the SE model. Sounds like scaler firmware bugs to me.

Btw, my local BestBuy B&M has the Westy W4207 42" LCD (non-1080P) for only $799. I would consider that, but I think that a 1080P LCD would make a better computer monitor. I've also been thinking about this Benq 24" LCD (forgot the model number), that does 1920x1200 and is around $700 or so.

The size novelty wore off soon for me too after switching to a 22" monitor a couple of days ago. But I had to double check that I had bought my nephew a 15.4" lappy and not a 14" because it looked so much smaller. Go figure.

A lot of people are having trouble getting it to display 1080P natively with no tweaking, me one of them. Just head over to the AVS forums and look at the massive thread full of info on it. I ended up having to install PowerStrip and create a custom INF file to use as the driver for the monitor, otherwise it would only run 1080i over DVI from my 8800GTS 320. The problem is that this monitor just isn't detected as what it is, probably due to poor firmware. It's either detected as a generic 1080i PnP monitor, or as the 42" model, neither of which work 100% right.

Is this issue limited to the SE model? Mine ran at 1080P without any issues on 6600 and I my 8800 GTS is on the way. I have the non-SE version though.

I have the SE and no problems on my laptop with Intel graphics or my desktop with an X1800XT.

There doesn't really seem to be a constant on which ones do it. I think it's a matter of which firmware they put on your TV. Some people get the SE version and it turns out to have the 42" firmware, some get an SE that isn't detected as anything other than a PnP monitor. I don't know that which video card you have matters as much as the monitor drivers for this issue.

It also depends on your cabling, you might get better results with an HDMI cable than a DVI cable or VGA.
