Well I got mine today and its big and beautiful. No dead pixels or that screen door effect but I do hear the buzzing talked about when the brightness is lowered. Not quite sure yet if it will bother me in the long run. Anyway I will move on for now. Aesthetically its gorgeous. With the commotion some made about the buttons on the side I figured it would be atrocious but its really not and I cant see my self fiddling with it much for it to be a bother me. I was going to get that HDMI-DVI cable but I might hold of for now because it looks damn good connected via VGA. I watched some DivX files and DVD they all looked great. Also played a little Medal of Honor Airborne which is a very dark game and the blacks looks just as good as my CRT and there was no ghosting. Also the viewing angles are great and actually better than one of my expensive 19: Samsung LCD TVs. Very, very impressed and I'm coming from a Mitsubishi 2070 which along with the Sony 24" is considered the best CRTs ever made. Have to also say I think the size is perfect, my Mitsubishi was 22" but this seem so much bigger without being overwhelming. I use the word overwhelming because I was actually using my 32" LCD TV before making a choice and I even though it looked good it was just to damn big to be sitting a few inches from so I couldnt imagine what its like for those sitting in front of those 37" Westinghouses. Perfect size, perfect features and coming from one of the best CRTs I think the quality is up there.
Though not my thread thanks for the input as it made my decision easier and I'm happy but still have to see if I can get over the buzzing which is like a very silent fan. Will be happy to answer and questions also.
Two pictures. Not the best and I will take some better ones later. It looks a whole lot better in person.
