Bought mine today from buy.com before I saw this . It was $1212 for the TV plus the 24 month extended warranty, tax, and shipping. After the $100 MIR it comes out to be $1112 shipped.

Lowest price right now that I could find.

Don't forget about GCO so it'll be $924

I have the 42" verison and love the TV. I have HDTV through TWC and a HD-DVD player and it looks great.

Check AVSforum for more info on this tv!

I'm debating this right now. My brother bought one and sent it to me. I've been testing it out for the last week or two.

Besides the HDMI/PS3 issue, it's a great TV. The workaround to that is just cycling some inputs in most cases right now. I think it's great. Been playing a lot of Resistance on it and I have no complaints. This is from playing previously on a nice 50" Panny DLP across the room. I think he's taking this one back next week...I might have to get my own.

I picked one up earlier tonight...I wonder if it changed from In-Stock to In-Stock Soon. Apparently it's a popular item today (probably has to do with the MIR).

Buy.com = horrible reseller ratings. Better idea to wait for another deal maybe? I really want one, but i'd rather not risk gettin screwed...

It's a great deal, but if I don't see my order change from "processing" to the next phase by the end of today, I'll prolly cancel the order.

---------------------------------------------------

Update

After reviewing the reseller ratings, I've requested to cancel my order, as I didn't realize how crappy Buy.com is.

--------------------------------------------------
Update:

Order is canceled.

I'm going to wait on my purchase, the prices are dropping everywhere just about.

Buy is not that bad unless you have to deal with customer service. I have never had a problem with them. You have to deal with Westinghouse anyways if there was a problem. This is one nice monitor for the price. I paid more than double that just over a year ago for the older version of this monitor.

Mine is now "Sent to Warehouse. It should be here in 4 to 5 days according to their web site. I assume this means that they do have some in stock. (I ordered mine around 11:00 yesterday morning)

Does the PS3 have issues with this tv?? I have a 42" Sceptre (1080p) and was hoping to return it and buy the Westing house 37", but not if it has problems with the PS3. What sort of issues are they, and can it be fixed in the future? Thanks.

Zahriya...I'm not sure what the issues are with the Westinghouse and PS3...it'd be good to know though. I was thinking of the 42" Sceptre instead because the Westinghouse is becoming so hard to find. What makes you want to return it and get the Westinghouse?

Thanks.

you might think about the extended warranty on this one, my friend got one and it was already acting wierd within a few months (strips of wierd colors at the top, ie. like the image is shifted) it goes away and comes back randomly.

The PS3 does have an issue right now with HMDI on this set. The work around 95% of the time is cycling through inputs, then going back to HDMI. It's a handshake issue between the PS3 and the TV. Reports are Wesdtinghouse will fix the set. Many believe Sony will fix it in a future upgrade as well. If you check AVSForum.com under the gaming section, you'll find a couple big threads with more information.

That said, I've been using my PS3 on it without problems outside of the one I listed above. When switching resolutions (dash to a game, or game back to dash, dash to movie, etc.) you will have to cycle the inputs most likely to get it to sync together.

As for reseller ratings, I think they are useful sometimes and not others. I've ordered hundreds of items from buy.com without problem. Heck, how many are afraid to buy from Best Buy? It's worse than buy.com.

Hey Gimp, the Sceptre is an awesome TV, especially for the price. I dont have a problem with the TV at all, Im just thinking 42" might have been overkill for what Im using it for. Im using it mainly for the PS3, and hardly watch any TV. I just figured If i swap for the Westinghouse Id save about 300bucks.

God damn it! Why can't I find this damn TV in Canada or anywhere that ships to Canada! Can anyone buy this for me and send it to Canada? (seriously) I want it so bad but I can't freaking find it anywhere and going to have to resort to picking up a 2407 instead before it goes back to full price (its 200 off till beginning of January).

Is the warranty worth buying? Anyone else selling this set with a better one?

I ordered one yesterday the 26th, and it is still stuck in "Processing" according to buy.com. Also, when checking via Google Accounts, it seems stalled as well. Is anyone in the same boat?
