Yeah, this is the very reason I quickly canceled my order with Buy.com. I realized which company I was dealing with and didn't want to have my money tied up for weeks waiting for Buy.com to update their stock properly.

patience... mine was exactly like yours dajeepster. Then yesterday, I got a call saying it was shipped! My order status changed too. It'll be here Tuesday. If you still want exact info, email their CS dept. My reply from their CS was posted earlier in this thread. Overall, I'm very satisfied with buy.com. I ordered 3 HD's, a new Corsair power supply and this LCD in the month of Dec, and they have yet to fail me.

Any seen any new deals on this monitor? I just missed out on the timing of this deal, and now i hear its a discontinued model and the new model won't be out till March or April?

none that ive found and ive been looking.

ive got newegg, mwave, buydig, buy.com, and bphotovideo all bookmarked and have been checking daily.. personally im probably just going to buy it from newegg for 1200 if they get it back in stock soon.

They do this with just about every deal they post. They continue making sales even when they have been out of stock for days. I've been burned in this manner twice by them and called them out in several email exchanges. It's an unethical business practice and I refuse to do business with them.

Yeah, generally most of the deals I've done with Buy.com have been pretty smoothe, but one or two were a bit iffy. I bought something that was labeled "in stock" and they didn't ship it for almost 2 weeks...and it didn't get here in time to be a Christmas present.

Anyways, the set does look nice...I think I'll hold out for another price drop though.

yeah... I emailed them friday night (05 jan) and they responded back 30 minutes later that it was shipped out on the 5th.
The strange thing is, I ordered something from them on the 6th (IR illuminator) and in the email response back from the sale, it said that thier policy is that they don't charge CC until the item is shipped.
when I went back to the email for the TV... that statement wasn't in there.... hmm.. go figure

the sale was a one day sale, but i came there about 4 days after the sale and they still had the $799 ticket below the display unit but with none in stock. I took a rain check and went home. So about a week later(yesterday) I got sick of waiting so I went there to see if any had come in. When I got there the tag said $1299 under it but I got my deal for $799 since I had the raincheck. They didn't have any in, and according to their computer or whatever they weren't expecting to get any in, so I asked them If i could just buy the display unit and they said yeah.


So to sum it up, no I'm pretty sure the sale isn't still on.

I don't know if anyone else has had a problem yet, I just checked the status of the rebate and it was declined because it wasn't within the rebate period..WTF!!?! they shipped it to me on the 5th of january 2007, but billed me the 28th of December 2006 (with the rebate period) I had ordered it on the 28. so my rebate is good... it's not my fault they waited a week to ship it... rebate was for purchase date, not ship date... anyone else have a problem with this rebate?
