This is a good deal no doubt, but this seems better to me, http://www.vizio.com/products/detail.aspx?pid=31 It'll be out in a few weeks for 999.99 @ Costco. For some it may be too big to use as a monitor though.
Supported TV Formats
1080p, 1080i, 720p, 720i, 480p, 480i
Native Panel Resolution: 1920 x 1080
Supported PC Resolutions
1366 x 768, 1280 x 720, 1024 x 768, 800 x 600

I'd be careful of that at this point... The site says this:
Supported TV Formats
1080p, 1080i, 720p, 720i, 480p, 480i
Native Panel Resolution: 1920 x 1080
Supported PC Resolutions
1366 x 768, 1280 x 720, 1024 x 768, 800 x 600
Either they forgot to add the 1920 X 1080 resolution, or they don't support true 1080P @ 60Hz. Some of the 1080p TV's are 50Hz and thus, a PC will be unable to display the true native resolution. Stay away from this thing (The Vizio) UNTIL we know more facts.

Yes but that Visio is also $999 not $799. $200 price difference is not insignificant.

I used my mother-in-law's membership for mine. She was gracious enough to put it on her credit card and I wrote her a check. So, $899.44 out the door, when I was waiting and expecting a deal through newegg at $899 + $70 shipping.
Thing is, I've been waiting and saving for a monitor for at least 6 months (and talking about it for over 2 years ). For me, the timing on this was perfect.
I had contemplated a recert 42" from newegg at $999, but couldn't convince myself that it wouldn't be too big, recertified aside (who doesn't like "brand new"?).
And that Visio does look nice, in that it's 42" of 1080p at a decent price, but that doesn't really tell you anything about the monitor. It may be a dud. The westy has plenty of good reviews from satisfied users; enough to solidify my choice.
