i dont understand why the Asian guy helped the madame in the first place. what's in it for him to help?

They built it up by showing him mess with the code of the bird. He was too invested in the idea that they had true consciousness. Ford might have faked his death. They showed that host being built in the basement. People are speculating that he was creating himself so that he could be shot by Dolores.
Well, the plot of Westworld by Crichton is the robots rebelling. They certainly can go different ways with this, but it should have been at least a little obvious that something like that was going to happen if you were at all familiar with the story. I agree though that the next seasons probably won't be as good since the mystery won't be the same. The show would be legendary if it was one of those tragically cancelled shows.Binged the last 7 episodes on Sunday. Had to go back and re-watch some of the earlier episodes yesterday, it's even good on the second watch because of what you then know.
I liked it more than season 1 of GoT. I am just not sure they can keep it up, it seems like with the way things ended the show won't be as interesting next season, unless a lot of episodes occur in the past. Or, if the ending wasn't exactly what it seems, or the apparently inevitable slaughter is somehow prevented.

It is clear they are setting up a dynamic where there are two leaders of the rob-ellion: ma-eve and do-lores. The intrigue will be between the two camps, and how they intend to interact with humanity.Well yeah, obviously the hosts were going to do some killing. I expected Maeve's thing, it was the apparent slaughter at the end that I feel will totally change the character and feel of the show.
I mean, after Maeve's near escape, I could see the park getting cleaned up, she is caught and decommissioned or wiped, and things go "back to normal" until some other incidents occur. But after the end of the episode... no way. Once news gets out, they will send in the marines, nuke the park, and it's all over. That is the way things look to me anyway. I'm sure there will be something to make it a bit more complex, like "oh, nobody outside knows hat happened", but just with so many humans at the final party, all big names in Delos, it should be obvious what went down when communications cease.
Seeing "newbies" in the park figuring out how it all works was incredibly fun for me, and I don't see how they can do more episodes like that in s2 unless they are flashbacks to before the massacre.
Maybe I'm wrong, I'd love to be pleasantly surprised.
