This episode felt more like treading water than anything. Perhaps it should have only been 8 episodes. Hopefully we get some real plot movement soon.

They do seem to be spending a lot of time working on setup and perhaps trying to have people become emotionally involved with the characters.

Not a lot really progressed plot wise, in the last episode, but I still like the show and waiting to see what happens with "The Maze" etc.

More dropped hints here and there, and erratic behavior QA problems on the hosts part.

I still like it and will watch it all too, but the shine is wearing off a little. I was heavily anticipating the first couple episodes, now I'm merely looking forward to it.

Ed Harris seems to building a gang, and has said he would be the hosts salvation.

I'm wondering what Hopkins is up to with that monster ditch digger, he's up to something new.

Were actually several little interesting things, just watching the last episode for the second time myself.

I think what I like most about it is that it seems to be like a big open world multiplayer video game... with no need for the "video" part because its real.

On Fallon tonight, Evan Rachel Wood said, "Next week, we take it to 11." Hopefully that rings true.

I'm hoping so, I predicted a few weeks ago there might be some breakout in episode 5 the way they are pacing things.

I forget the visitors name in the show, but at least one of them feels that way. He even spouted off about finding an "Easter Egg".

Logan, he was really getting on my nerves until they added a little more depth with him mentioning the "Easter Egg." He's been extremely one dimensional.

Something feels off. Harris' character relies on Hector's chick for part of the story that will lead him to the maze that in theory has something to do with Arnold but an integral part of that story is Wyatt a character Hopkins just cooked up to flesh out the bounty hunter's back story. So either Hopkin's character has some idea what Arnold was working on and now is going try make it a reality at the same time that Harris is searching for it or something very weird is going on.

Not necessarily. The Wyatt character probably has been in the world for awhile, but now its being tied in to Flood's (Marsden) backstory. I'm sure there are lots of hosts that dont directly interact with each other unless storylines are changed or certain paths are exercised.

I don't know. Hopkins specifically said that the bounty hunter had no backstory and that what he told him was new. At least I'm pretty sure of that but I would have to rewatch that episode to be certain. If so, the host, Wyatt, is probably old, just like Delores. But the story where Wyatt is some psycho soldier with a murderous band of psycho soldiers - that looks to be new.

The other possibility is it's an older story line and Hopkins is just modifying to tie in with his new story but that would seem like a cop-out to me. He seems to want to do some grand and original and just tweaking some old stories to tie the together in a different way doesn't really seem to do it. But who knows. That would be one way to change the very character of the entire park.

There's a lot of confusion and things that don't make sense in the show (logical stuff with how the park would really work)
I still thoroughly enjoy the show - early previews said the beginning was sort of drawn out, but 4-5 episodes in is when things ramped up.

As I've aged, I've realized it is much more enjoyable not to scrutinize every "technical" detail and just enjoy shows for the story/acting. I also don't mind a slow build. So far, Westworld is building nicely for me.

I have to say that I wish Netflix/Amazon Fifa weekly release as well. I know I am probably in the minority, but the weekly suspense is fun and I would assume it would be better for business.

Yeah I do NOT get hung up on the "wait, that's not technically possible" aspects of shows. Never really have to be honest. However the Internet sure does harp on the minutia of details.

Yep. Tonight should be pretty insane. Anyone following the thread should be ready for potentially massive spoilers.

I thought the bots were not supposed to be able to hurt people really other then the malfunctions?

El Lazo... that has to prove a time difference, right? I'm really liking this Man in Black/William theory now.

You have to think now, that the William stuff is happening 30 years ago, before the bots were improved. This totally explains why the Man in Black wasn't impacted at all by the shots in the first episode, but William had a bruise when he was hit. And how he talked to Lawrence like an old friend. I had a feeling this was the case, but this episode really showed it. We're watching 2 separate timelines. One leading up to the "incident" and one in "present" day. I feel like I'm talking about Lost again... oy.

I hadn't really thought about this up until now, but dear God, I hope that this is the way it plays out.

i wonder how much of the teddy's reaction to MiBs 'threat' was guest cannot hurt guest vs ford is god and untouchable

Well, we know Delores is the oldest host and Teddy is nowhere to be found in the William timeline. On other message boards, someone also pointed out that the company logos when William first arrived at WW in episode 2 match the ones on the lab coats during the CGI Anthony Hopkins scenes, but not the ones shown in "present" day. Seeing Lawrence get his throat cut by MiB and then having him be a completely different character when they switch back to William completely proves this too.
