Westy LVM-37W1 and Ubuntu

Hi, I'm pretty new to linux and I'm trying to get my main display, a Westinghouse LVM-37W1 to work properly. I've just installed Ubuntu and during the startup the display works fine, but once the OS fully loads the display just shows a garbled mess of lines, almost as if it were receiving a super bad analog signal. I've tried searching around for drivers, but haven't found any. I'm also sure it works in linux since I've seen people mention using them in their systems. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I should proceed?

I have a Dell 1905FP setup in clone mode so using Ubuntu in the meantime won't be a hassle. And incase it matters, I've tried disconnecting the Dell and rebooting and I still get the same issue.

It's probably not a driver issue. Your xorg.conf file probably has some bad settings.

You don't drivers for monitors, 99% of the time they 'just work' since monitors can tell X what modes they support. If the monitor is too conservative in what it relays back to X you can specify manual mode lines, but that can be a PITA. Most likely you have either a video driver issue or as n0c said something setup wrong in xorg.conf, but the former is more likely since xorg is fairly automatic these days too.
