I did not know that LOTR 3 had been released yet. Where did you see it?
Try seeing the remake of The Italian Job. Not as good as Ocean's 11, but a very good flick none the less!Originally posted by: Pilsnerpete
That's because I like Pulp Fiction. And I like the Heist (Gene Hackman and Danny DeVito), though as far as capers/robberies, I enjoyed Ocean's 11 more.
Have you seen the original of either one? I'm thinking they can't have been too bad to be remake worthy. I'll have to check em out.Originally posted by: Wuffsunie

Some/most of you people will not like this....
1. American Pie
2. American Pie 2
3. American Wedding
I actually never got through the FIRST American Pie b/c I thought it was so stupid....
Yup, seen the originals of both Ocean's 11 and Italian Job. The latter, though, is an extremely British movie. It's good, but if you're american you'll not get some of the humour in it quite as much as those in the UK. Ocean's 11 is a Rat Pack movie. If you're a Sinatra fan, you'll like. If you haven't seen any of his movies, this would be a good one to start with. As for their being remade, that was more to cash in on their success. They already have built in audiences, a large portion of which will see the remake to see if it's any good compared to the original. If you want an example of a remake that fell short of the original, rent the DVD version of The Truth About Charlie. Watch that and then flip the disc to the original movie Charade. You'll laugh more in the first 5 min of the latter than you will during the whole of the former.Originally posted by: Pilsnerpete

I especially like the multiple views onscreen sometimes. It's like multitasking movies. Fits more into one movie.Originally posted by: CubicZirconiaQuit kidding yourself, Ronin sucked. I have an idea. Lets make a movie about a briefcase. The whole movie will be about a bunch of people trying to get the briefcase. In the middle we can throw in some weak-ass references to japanese history to give the movie a snazzy title. Then at the end, instead of showing everyone what's inside of the case, we'll just end the movie. It will be some sort of an artistic thing. Oh wait, no it won't. It will be a crappy movie and a waste of everyone's time. That, in a nutshell, is what's wrong with Ronin.Originally posted by: JehovahWTH is wrong with Ronin? You sir, are a dumbass!Originally posted by: CubicZirconia 1. Ronin 2. Unbreakable 3. Heist (the one with Hackman) All of these movies suck a mountain of ass the size of an imperial star destroyer. Two great actors. One terrible movie. I like Jackson and Willis as much as the next guy, but that movie was just horrible. On the whole, I'd say the acting was right around the "bunch of no-talent ass clowns" level. A real shame. Especially for those two guys.Unbreakable could've been better, but it had B Willis AND Sam Jackson. Not bad.You need to see more movies. Off to go running, back to join the fray again later.Heist rocked.
uhh pulp fiction was like that but I don't see it on the list

Anything with Tom Green.
Why anyone thinks he is in any way humorous, I will never understand.
AI - It was just stupid, boring, and depressing. I couldn't wait for it to end. Definitely one of Spielberg's worst movies ever.
Fight Club - I don't get it. I just hated this movie.
Dogma - I don't get it. I just hated this movie. The only funny thing in this movie was Chris Rock.
Showgirls - I felt embarrased for Elizabeth Berkley because she was so painfully awful.
Comments on other movies that some of you hated:
LOTR - no comment needed. If you didn't like these movies, you should be forever banished from AT.
Bladerunner - a f'ing classic. One of the best sci-fi movies of all time. Everyone should see this.
Pulp Fiction - Tarantino's defining movie. One of my favorite movies of all time.
Zoolander - Stupid but damn funny.
American Pie - Cheesy, but had me laughing my a$$ off almost as much as Something About Mary.
Armageddon - Stupid cliche lines, stupid plot(a bunch of roughnecks go to space and save the world). But entertaining to watch and certainly not one of the worst movies of all time.
Moulin Rouge - People love it or hate it. I loved it.
Meet the Parents - Yea, the best lines were in the previews. But it still had me laughing out loud a lot. And not many movies can do that. I think Ben Stiller is hillarious.
Vanilla Sky - Very bizarre and thought provoking. I thought it was great.
