WHAT A AMAZEMENT TO MY ASUS A8N SLI !

I have a 3200+ whose date is 0446,and i can only make it work stably at 2450Mhz.And the bios edition is beta 1007-002 .I downloaded the beta bios 1007-004 last night .And I can make my 3200+ work stably at 2500Mhz(250X10) when the voltage is 1.43V ,it can even work at 2600Mhz(260x10)although the system can not work stably.What an big amazement I think the new bios gives new life to a8n sli !

Yep, been reading post after post about this on other forums......people even saying they are getting as high or higher than their DFI's.....I have the straight A8N-E and also the DFI and I've been saying my results (non-SLI) are about equal between the boards....Now with problems cropping up of DFI boards just dieing for no apparent reason......I'm worried about mine. May sell it and get another Asus! Have fun!

Asus probably held out for so long due to all the morons who would have just burned out the boards & RMA's them because they couldn't deliver a 5.8ghz A64 overclock....morons.

All Asus mobos that I've used has always overclocked well:

My old ASUS CUBX runs an overclocked Coppermine 550MHz to 825MHz,

and probably could've reached even higher if that mobo has a higher FSB setting.

For simplicity's sake, just update your BIOS using the latest version of ASUS Update.

Then select "Update BIOS from file", and point it to a folder containing the new BIOS binary (.bin) file.

Then select "Update BIOS from file", and point it to a folder containing the new BIOS binary (.bin) file.

Try my original link again, it's working now

Just create a temp folder on your desktop, and put your binary in there

then point the ASUS update to that binary file

make sure you go to your BIOS before you flash the new BIOS

and select "Load Setup Default", save this setting, and then boot back to Windows

now you can flash the new BIOS.
