A Shocking Case Of Animal Abuse In Tulsa

Authorities are looking for suspects in the torture and killing of dogs living in an abandoned north Tulsa house.

The two surviving dogs were brought to the SPCA early Monday morning. Both are expected to recover. But shelter officials could do nothing for six puppies that were found dead with fireworks in their mouths and their mouths partially blown off.

Well here is some good news. Two Tulsa Juveniles Taken Into Custody In Dog Abuse Case

They are also now saying that the puppies being blown apart by fireworks being a hoax as reported in the 7/1/04 update is not true.

I certainly don't condone this, but it seems anytime a dog gets killed, there is more outrage than when a person gets killed. Horrible horrible thing to do, but animals being killed always gets worse of a reaction than people. shrug.

Most people deserve it Seriously though, dogs are like kids (but without the mean streak), and I think that's the reason for this kind of reaction, plus this was an exceptionally horrible case. Personally I love those trauma shows on the discovery family channels where people are all sorts of f*cked up - most of them had it coming... but I can't watch the veterinary equivalent that they have on Animal Planet

I hate to admit it, but as a kid I played with fireworks and a lot of times I played with them by the lake. One time I caught a fish and stuck a whistling bottle rocket in it's mouth. It whistled like crazy first sort of pushing the fish along the dock, then sort of blew it's mouth/head open when it exploded. I didn't turn into a serial killer but I can NEVER imagine doing this to a dog. Dog's have personalities and and man's best friend for crying out loud. I do feel bad about the whole fish thing now that I'm older though.

My wife gets me to watching Animal Cops and man I truly hate anyone who hurts animals. That type of behavior potentially could lead to more aggressive behavior against humans. Jeffrey Dahmer started that way.....
