Not sure how to take this. What she said was akin to, "this is the most important election of our life", which Democrats say quite often. Given other rhetoric and events we have seen the last few years is where the more dangerous part of this kind of rhetoric gives pause. She may have been using Metaphorical language, but many Conservatives these days seem to not understand what Metaphor is, so....

The more desperate Trump becomes the more moronic he behaves, the more he will say stupid self-incriminating things and other idiotic blabber that will inevitably blow up in his face. That in turn will force conservative media outlets like FOX to ramp up their own incredibly irrational accusations and other such sundry bullshit they always manage to conjure out of thin air.

The key to it all are those dumbfucks that buy in to all of that rabble rousing dribble because they got nothing else to cling to. Get them riled up enough, they'll give those other Repubs standing around looking clueless hope and a reason to stay the party line and head to the polls with a vengeance sans self-awareness yet highly motivated by a whole lot of feelings of hate and fear that rubbed off from the dumbfucks.

Russia fucking around in our elections in the Repubs favor becomes a whole lot more appealing than having the Dems take over, Putin sees the green go light and unleashes his election haxor squads on the nation.

The whole probable with having an enlarged right amygdala is the constant stimulation to the fight or flight reaction it effectuates. People in a constant agitated state of real or imaginary fear have an extraordinary emotional need to suppress the awareness of the anxious state that external stimuli from the outside world bombards them with. And once the herd instinct kicks in and they gather in groups, they can then begin to mutually terrify each other.

This is the key that binds the Republican Party together, in my opinion, as all of this is. The only safe place they had as children was conformity with whatever insane theory of proper behavior their parents and in turn their culture infected them with. This is why they become control freaks and self entitled babies. Any threat of deviation to the system of emotional repression they favor, read the authoritarian police state, threatens them their repression mechanism. Once Stockholm Syndrome takes root, the victim becomes dangerous. He or she will project their fears onto anybody different that is handy and will have in place all the madness needed to shoot them as a threat.

And, of course, anybody who looks at how people like this react can control them easily by stoking that extra capacity conservatives have to be easily terrified.

This is clearly a crisis dog whistle. If it do not work, they would never do it. It gives us a look into what they think, which means they are desperate. This usually happens closer the the election, but they are starting it months in advance. Just we are experience tRump fatigue after almost four years of his behavior, people have been experiencing fatigue over the things necessary to protect themselves from the virus, now this could backfire if the base gets fear fatigue. Do you remember all those terrorism yellow/red alerts during Dubya's regime? They kept reappearing - almost like clockwork - all through his days as Prez. Then they stopped completely once Obama took office. lol It's not difficult to figure out why.

There was never any genuine terroristic threats, of course. It was all just crying wolf, to make people scared so they'd look to Georgie Boy (and, ha ha ha, Cheney and Rumsfeld and the other, real players standing behind him) for protection. The terror all came from within the U.S. gov't itself. I don't think it worked very well though, Dubya's ratings was in the toilet, possibly the sewer beneath the toilet in fact, by the time he moved out of the WH. But they sure got their money's worth out that alert system the way they wore that mother out, that's for sure.
