Why must everyone turn something greatly functional in Candy Crush eye candy and toss funationality out the friggen window? Yes, this new forum software cannot serve the user, but the marketer that forces less efficient use of web page space in order for the mighty candy-look.

I guess it was inevitable to cater to the children of Amuricca and their short attention span. If it looks pretty it must be good, right? Or is it a case of "better to look good than feel good"?

I would be EXTREMELY surprised if there wasn't many alternative themes that users can activate, and I hope and I am sure they will tweak this the coming days. I really want my left side forum navigation and also other colors.

The list of forums that were on the left of the forum prior is no longer there and that is a HUGE loss to me. That's how I navigated between forums. This is going to be a pain in the ass.

Yeah, it's too busy on the page, no contrast. I can't easily read post to post because it's just a shotgun blast of images and lists. I feel like I'm going to be hit with some microtransaction charges if I hover my cursor over the wrong spot for too long.

Yes, my cursor--I still use desktop and keyboard because I don't read the internet with tiny phones and touch interfaces. blaaargh!

Yep, I get that too. Not even counting the obvious technical glitch I'd like to hear from management what exactly is meant by "normal visitors". Around here that can have a pretty scary definition.
