im looking for, pretty much, best quality on all the games for a cheap card. i was looking into the XFX GeForce 6200 256MB (LINK ).
how would this do for games like Quake 4, DOOM3, F.E.A.R., Ultimate Spiderman, King Kong, stuff like that -- the new stuff?
basically i wanna know if this is a good card to spend money on (im only looking to use it for half a year, most a year), and if not, which one is?
thanks a lot.

check out that link for more details.
only messed up thing is...it says 4 pixel pipes...are those the damn pipelines? shouldnt 12 (OCed to 16 ) be the bare minimum?
if this card is WORTH waiting for, then i will! $99 US is AMAZING!

F.E.A.R. will give you the middle finger if you start it up with a 6200 256mb installed. Everything else will play like crap as well, except solitaire. You'll pull pretty good FPS on 3d pinball, though.

You don't overclock 12 pipelines to get 16.

yes, i would LOVE to do that, however i cant affor that right now, and despretly need an upgrade.
i dont even know if i can afford the 6800NU that was offered to me...
at the end of the week i will be able to, but i dont know if ill be able to get much else.
i dont even know if i can get the card this week because i have a CPU on hold...on of them end of the week, one of them end of the month..i have to choose...
well i still havnt made a final decision on to go with the 6800NU or 6800GS. the GT is a little out of my price range, but if i can find it dirt cheap, i will take it!
you could end up with a GS at Ultra specs

i would love that so much, however its not a guaruntee (or a HUGE concern anyhow). im just worried about (stock) having a good card that will last to play games for about another year. if i can get a 6800NU that can unlock to 16 pipes FOR SURE, ill be fine. if i can get a GS that can unlock to higher (20? or what would it be?) that would be 10x better (just posted WTB thread 6800GS/unlockable 6800NU).
