I use a few computers almost equally, so I can't really determine what is my main rig, but this is what I've got.

Phenom II X4 940 @ 3.5Ghz
Athlon II X4 630 @ 3.5Ghz
Phenom X4 9850 @ 3.0Ghz
Athlon 64 3500 @ 2.2Ghz(in an old laptop occasionally used)

Than my gf has.
Athlon X2 7750 @ 2.7
Athlon X2 @1.9(it's a k8 mobile chip, don't recall the model number)

I'm currently using an AMD Athlon II X3 425 CPU in my desktop.
The laptop has an Athlon II X2 M300 in it.

I'm so happy with both of these cpus.

First setup with amd in 3 years, 955 BE with gigabyte mb, then got a cheap deal on an asus matx with 620 propus then decided the swap in a 965 BE in the matx, love those amds again.:awe::awe:

My main machine is still a Q9550 though

I have an Athlon XP 2500+ Barton in a Biostar iDEQ 200V SFF box. My wife uses it when she needs a bigger screen than her 13.3" laptop provides. Still more than adequate for basic stuff after six years.

It can do 3.6GHz, but required 1.475V. D:

I use the AMD Athlon X2 BE-2300 in my HTPC. It works great in there. Using CrystalCPUID, I greatly undervolt and underclock it (to 1.2 GHz) at idle, and then automatically put it at stock voltage and overclock it to about 2.5GHz at load. I'm pulling about 50W from the wall at idle.

My little opty 170 - chugging along at 2.75 for the last few years.. soon to find a new home. It was never really enough to let the 8800gt shine, but I was on the 939 platform for about 5 years! Started with a64 3000+ that oc'd well to 2.5 IIRC, then the opty, now waiting for a shipment of a new i5 750.

Haha same here. I've been running my 939 platform (Athlon XP 3200) for 5 years!
Over clocked from 2.0 to 2.4 with no issues at all

1. Living room htpc/server: athlon II x4 630, underclocked to 2.0 ghz. (I had a phenom 8650 x3 in there before, just bought the x4 because I had an upgrade itch, no noticeable difference in performance for what I use it for, ripping dvds, streaming OTA tv and movies, very little transcoding)

2. Bedroom htpc: athlon 2 X2 240, underclocked to 2.0 ghz

amd cpus I have just laying around gathering dust: phenom x3 8650, 2 opteron 170's with working motherboards and 4GB of ddr memory, athlon x2 4400, an opteron 140, and I think I have a barton 2500 hidden in a box somewhere.

I'm not an amd fanboy, but I do like the thought of supporting the underdog and don't want to see intel as the only cpu provider.

I still have 2 Thunderbirds a Palomino and a Barton in my closet. The Tbirds still work but the Athlon XP systems don't power on and I never bothered trying to find out why.

My laptop has an Athlon Neo MV40 though.

AthlonXP 3200+ running the file server, and PhII X4 B50 in the kid's machine. I have a couple 939 cpus running around...kinda wish it were easier to find mobos for them, might find a reason to put them back into service.

Just building an amd 965 on a gigabyte 790xt

It replaces an Intel p4 3.2 which I will use as a backup .

useing a x4 925 in my main computer but have an Athlon 64 3000+ in my other one
