Iphone 3gs
Macbook Pro 13
Imac 20"

Planning on an Ipad and Apple tv in the next few months. Used to be 100% PC and now only use Apple. Just ease of use and knowing this stuff will work when I get home. Everytime I built my own crap something would overheat or it would be really loud or I would end up getting a virus on my PC. Don't have the time anymore since I graduated college 4 years ago.

Currently

2006 Mac pro 8gb ram
2.0ghz mini 4gb ram
iPad 2 white 32gb wifi
iPhone 4 white 16gb Verizon
iPhone 3G 16gb. Use as touch with alarm clock radio.
iPod nano 4th (I think) gen. No camera
Current gen iPod nano (6th gen I think)
HP branded iPod that had come with a 20gb hard drive at the time but has since died along with the battery. I put in a ziff to compact flash adapter and then a compact flash to micro SD adapter on that and have a 16gb flash 2004 HP iPod. Works perfectly though. I use it in my garage and when I'm doing yard work.

I had a work provided 13" MacBook pro for the past few years but recently quit that for a new job. New job is HP only windows shop. Can't complain, I'm a windows platform sys admin after all.

I'll probably buy either a new Air after they update the processor and Lion comes out or get a 13" mbp when back to school is going on. Hopefully back to school will be going on when lion comes out.

Going to sell my Mac pro and get something new with the money. Might get my wife a air since her pos dell is on it's last leg.

- Mid 2010 13" MBP (10.6.7/Windows 7/Ubuntu 11.04) with a Henge Docks docking station. Sits on the desk with a 24" Dell UltraSharp.
- iPhone 4, 32GB, Black
- iPad 2, 32GB, WiFi, Black
- Airport express 802.11n
- Bluetooth Wireless Keyboard
- Bluetooth Magic Trackpad
- Mighty Mouse or whatever the stupid thing my friend gave me is called
- Various other docks, adapters, whathaveyous...

I think that's about it. Before anyone calls me a fanboi, understand that if I were to list my PC hardware, the list would probably be about 4 times as long!

lol it was $879 on macmall/ebay, but yeah.

lots of people run their mouth how good apple is, family and friends too, so i figured i should take a look, if nothing else atleast to stay fresh.
I've used macs on and off in academia, but not very recently.

osx is ok, certainly useable and easy to use, but i have a heavily modified acer/win 7 laptop i still use more.
it's an acer 5534, 4GB, with 2.0 ghz turion and 128GB SSD upgrade, inexpensive, pretty thin and light for this size, 15.6", 5.2 lbs, 1.0/1.2" thick, so i have a hard time giving it up.

i will give the mac has nice hardware, the form factor pretty much one of a kind, very high quality display, gpu pretty powerful for this size.

Operating system kind of a wash, clean win 7 vs new OSX, SSD for SSD, they both work fine. OSX does boot and shutdown a hair faster.

i just find the price premium kind of hard to justify even with the better hardware/design, it's a little too pretty so i worry a bit about it getting banged up.

my windows laptop still mostly the workhorse and the mba just sits looking pretty on my desk.

if u the mod you can probably see what type of computer this was posted from
