The little fan on my Leadtek GF4 Ti4200 graphics card is making just a bit too much noise for my liking (it's actually the loudest thing in my system), so I'm now in the market for a passive cooled mid-range card.
I know there are a few fanless FX5200 cards around, but I'm wondering if there are any other options out there? Another Ti4200 would be nice if it didn't have a fan, but these might run too hot to be passive cooled. I disconnected power to the fan on mine and it became fairly hot after a few minutes. A fanless Radeon 9500 would be good if there are any (I don't know how hot they run).
So does anyone have any suggestions? Which graphics chips run coolest? It doesn't matter if I downgrade a bit, I don't play games very often nowadays - I just need a card to run them decently when I do.
