What are some good end times movies about rapture antichrist nuclear war or the end

I like that movie theme too.

Nic Cage did one with kids that could interpret wierd numbers... too lazy to look it up.
Steven Kings The Stand was good for a made for TV movie.
The one that the Pineapple Express guys did about the apocalypse that was funny... again too lazy to look it up.
There are two Left Behind movies for a religious type apocalyptic movie. One with Kirk Cameron and the other with Nic Cage. Didn't see either one of those.

There is the Zombie Apocalypse genre which includes World War Z (read the book instead), Zombieland, and I Am Legend.

I remember watching this as a kid. It scared the crap out of me. I recently watched it again. Still really quite scary.

I've recommended this several times. It's a hidden gem that is probably the most depressing and bleak movie I've ever seen. You could used to find it on Google Video; might be on YouTube or something now.

I think I remember one called red dawn. Then there is the terminator and subsequent offshoots of that. Solyent Green comes to mind. Planet of the Apes. Armageddon when the people are trying to drill up an asteroid to split it. Will Smith move called Independence Day which is a little silly, Mars attacks where they kill the aliens by playing country western music. There is another one where some bugs are hurling asteroid at earth called starship troopers. Add to that The Postman. Men in Black. Hellboy. Ghostbusters.
