What are temperatures like for a 2.4bghz with stock heatsink?

What are temperatures like for an intel P4 2.4b ghz processor with a stock heatsink attached?

I'm using an Antec sx835 with 2 fans and my stock HSF with thermal pad is running at 33 celsuis and after Unreal for one hour it's running 44 celsuis. P4-2.4B GHZ.

how about if it boots up at around 37 degrees Celsius and after two hours of BF1942, it is at 46 degrees celsius? By the way, this processor got ripped out of its socket a couple times.
This was courtesy of some really crappy (Antec Silver Goop) thermal paste thatt superglued the processor to my Alpha PAL8942. I no longer can use that heatsink. Also, i cleaned the processor with alcohol (rubbing)
and booted up with the stock heatsink back on. It never crashed once during my two ordeal of BF1942. Do these temps sound very bad, or might they be good enough?

Haha, this happened to me too last week when I changed motherboards. I unbolted the Alpha 8942 and it took the cpu right out of the socket. I was using Artic Silver 3. I had to twist the cpu to get it off the heatsink. Cleaned both up with rubbing alcohol and reinstalled with no problem. What a trip.

I know what u mean. The odd thing is, this never happened with Artic Silver. Artic Silver was stubborn, but I was able to use a screwdriver and seperate the sink and the processor while this stuff (antec version) was like Superglue. Anyhow, what are your temps like, just out of curiosity?

I average about 95F for the cpu and 82F for the board.

I ran Prime95 for over 8 hours last night and peaked at 122F but no errors and this is a 1.8A running at 2.4GHz on my new BH7. Extended sessions of Q3 will bring it up to about 110-112F.

I'm very happy with this new motherboard. It is a very stable overclocker.

Yes, with a Delta 80cfm fan!

O, i see, I used it with a thermaltake SmartCase fan2 on high and it let me OC my 1.6a to 2.3something stable and up 2.5something good for word processing. 2.4 was do-able altho I could only play a game like BF1942 for an hour.
