What are the coolest college football (sports?) traditions?

I don't get the connection between the Washington Capitals and RED??

red uniforms? if that were the case, the Bulls and any other team with a red jersey could do this....

a few seasons ago they had a "ROCK THE RED" theme for the entire season, that is when it started

I gotta say, all of these traditions are pretty lame. Even the VT enter sandman, and I went to VT. It's not really anything special, Enter Sandman is an arena anthem that has probably been played at every type of sporting event since 1992. The old hokie cheer is more of a tradition, and that's not going to make anybody say, "Wow! That's awesome!"

They always played certain songs that everyone in the stands danced to. There were also certain chants and cheers that were used under different circumstances. It was also quite fun to cheer "Go Green!" with everyone on one side of the stadium and get the return "Go White!" by everyone on the opposite side.

Don't feel bad, cursive is a lost art.
I came in here to post that I like seeing fires on Chittenden avenue. I guess you caught the right sports team but wrong tradition. It makes me laugh that folks are surprised when sports fans are chastised for acting on the intelligence level most obviously possess.

I've heard that before, and as a college football fan I hope to get a chance to attend an Army-Navy game. The one thing that detracts from it though is that neither team has been relevant for 50 years, so it's not like the game on the field actually matters when they play.
